A KADOMA property developer has launched several projects to give back to the community. Craft Properties is working with the Sanyati Rural District Council to build Eastelea Primary School's first and only classrooms after the school had been without permanent structures for many years.

The company, which is constructing agricultural and residential stands in the Mashonaland West province mining town, has now expanded its efforts to include corporate social responsibility programs such as classroom construction, clinics, and borehole drilling, among other projects. The property developer has been aiding less privileged people of the community, such as the elderly and families with children.

In an interview, Craft Properties CEO and Chairperson Kudakwashe Taruberekera stated that the initiative was part of the company's attempts to contribute to Zimbabwe's development. "All the work we are doing at Craft Properties (Pvt) Ltd is derived from the exemplary programmes at the rural district council and the unwavering support we are getting from the leadership," he stated. The block is currently at window level as builders prepare the foundation for the second classroom building. The project will also entail the installation of new toilets to replace the pit latrines that are now used by students and staff at the school.

Taruberekera stated that the construction of two school blocks, a toilet block, and a borehole will be handed over to the Sanyati Rural District Council. The project aims to support the education system and reduce dropouts, child marriages, and other issues in the community. Craft Properties also donated 15 housing stands to the underprivileged, with 10 remaining.
