ED Mnangagwa High to bring education closer

Construction of the Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa High School in Ward 13, Mutoko, has started, bringing a local high school to an area where children have been travelling to neighbouring wards for their A-Level studies.

The first block is almost ready for its roof, and the materials needed for the construction are already on site.For students in Ward 13, long commutes to the next high school will soon be a thing of the past.

Following Cde Herbert Shumbamhini, a former member of parliament for Zanu PF Mutoko South, petitioned President Mnangagwa for the establishment of a high school in the constituency, construction on this institution began. After hearing, President Mnangagwa announced that the school would be constructed when officially opening the Tabudirira fruit and vegetable processing business in Mutoko.

This week, the Ward 13 community expressed gratitude for seeing so much items arrive to the location.

This week, senior government representatives from the provincial offices of Mashonaland East visited the construction site to evaluate the status of work.

Zanu PF Ward 13 councillor Cde Thanks Rombora hailed the president for the school and stated in an interview conducted on the tour's fringes that the start of the building process was proof positive that he was a man of his word.

"We are happy about this development since it will undoubtedly raise the standard of education in Mutoko. Our goal is to have the highest standards possible at this institution. We are pleased that the President is keeping his word to the people, as he usually does."We have no doubt that enrollment will rise as soon as the school receives additional blocks," he stated.

Cde Isaac Taskani, the Zanu PF MP for Mutoko South, stated that the President should always have support since he is a listening leader. He made a request to the President for a Mutoko South vocational training facility.

"I express my gratitude to the President for keeping the residents of Mutoko's Ward 13 in mind. This is a pretty positive development.

"I am also pleading with the President to establish a vocational training facility so that individuals who would not have attended universities can also register with these facilities. This will guarantee that young people are occupied and do not become drug or substance abusers.

Mr. Rodwell Zinyakasa, a resident of Ward 13, stated that work has to go quickly in order for students to be admitted to the school.

We are happy that President Mnangagwa's involvement led to the opening of this institution, thus we are grateful. We have been waiting for this to happen, and now we are seeing the realization of our aspirations.

Mr. Tavabarira Kutamahufa, the East Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution of Mashonaland, also commended President Mnangagwa for keeping his word.

"We are here to evaluate the status of this school's construction. That construction has started makes me joyful. As you are aware, high-quality education depends on a robust infrastructure. We would like to express our gratitude to President Mnangagwa for granting the request made to him by the people of Mutoko, as per his pledge.

"Everything you need is right here. Everybody is giddy. As you can see, a classroom block has already been constructed, and we anticipate finishing it by the end of February," he stated.
