THE Government of Zimbabwe is committed to the provision of securitised decent accommodation and infrastructure for its citizens as outlined in Vision 2030, a Cabinet minister has said.

The Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, Dr. Jenfan Muswere, briefed journalists following a tour of the media center at the New Parliament Building in Mount Hampden yesterday. He stated that President Mnangagwa valued people's lives and their rights to dignity and shelter, among other rights guaranteed by the Zimbabwean Constitution. What I can guarantee is that the New Dispensation, and His Excellency President Mnangagwa in particular, cherish the Zimbabwean Constitution and acknowledge the significance of people's rights..

Dr. Muswere added, "The government will make sure that citizens are properly settled. The President has always stressed that the government is humanistic, this is a Government of the People. He is a strong defender of people's rights and a servant leader who remains seized with rebuilding the economy in line with Vision 2030.".

"For this reason, the Second Republic constructed many homes around the nation and granted citizens land ownership through the issuance of title deeds under the Presidential Title Deeds Program."The President has instituted the issuance of Presidential Title Deeds through the Deeds Office for the previously disadvantaged citizens who were without title deeds because he prioritizes the securitization of housing ownership. "The housing securitization through Presidential Title Deeds speaks to President Mnangagwa's citizen economic empowerment program."

According to Dr. Muswere, securitized title deeds are now issued to residents by the Deeds Office, which has been digitalized and capacitated by the Second Republic.

The President's creation of the National Housing and Social Amenities Ministry highlights how crucial it is to guarantee that all citizens have access to quality housing across the nation.

"The government is collaborating with a number of entities, such as the financial institutions and the private sector, to guarantee the provision of decent housing.".

“Law enforcement agents have been capacitated and are working full throttle to arrest land barons,” said Dr Muswere.
